Found your post today. It’s a great post.

But there’s a grammatical error you may want to fix in your very first paragraph. You say “… he spoke half truths and bended the truth …”

It really should be “bent” instead.

A great approach – timeless and wise. In today's business environment, so heavily tied to Social Networking, a business' reputation balances on the edge of a knife, and anyone who believes that they can both build a solid online Social Business Image while at the same time setting fire to what is essentially his Online Neighbor's house is self-deceived. It's like one's own next-door neighbor trying to put a match to one's home without realizing that the fire is likely to spread and consume their own residence. That kind of narrow perception leads to everyone in the neighborhood turning against the firestarter because, when it comes to a life online, one's true nature becomes glaringly available for all to see.

There was a lot more that could have been said in this post but I wanted to stick to the underlining point of 'Always Taking The High Road.'

While what you said is true and I agree 100% I would have reacted the same way even if Social Media and the Internet wasn't around. I always strive to be the person I am even when nobody is looking, that way I don't have the stress of trying to be two different people. I'm no Mother Teresa but I think I'm a good person and I will ALWAYS take the high road because that's who I am. Being that person has gotten me far in life because I would much rather lift somebody up than tear them down, even if they are trying to blast me. At night, when it's all said and done, I sleep well.

Today, there is infinitely more to be gained in CONNECTING with the competition than with forming enemies. The best thing an online business person can do is find a way to befriend and partner with the competition to the benefit of both parties. Win-win scenarios are always best for any business future. Again, according to an individuals NATURE (their psychological (or even spiritual) make-up), so they express themselves and, thus, erect their presence online. The 'REAL YOU' always comes out when it comes to Social Networking, because Social Networking only SUCCEEDS when there are REAL CONNECTIONS. So, we want people to see and know our BEST SELVES. By developin the habit of expression only the best parts of our nature, we develop the real-world habit of thinking and acting from our best nature; thereby using Social Networking to literally become better human beings. There's only one reason any of us should be working in any field, and it is to become more than we are.
